This is the best waterproof jacket I have ever owned, and as someone who used to bush walk a lot, that is saying something. This jacket is gorgeous to look at, breathable, waterproof, has the right amount of easily accessible pockets and an adjustable hood that actually stays put. A hood that keeps out the rain but allows you to still see. This is definitely one of those situations where you get what you pay for. Not cheap, but also not outrageously priced. They also "walk the walk" in regards to sustainability and worker conditions and pay. This is very important to me.

Not as red as appears in the photos - even better! Got christened in the wild weather last week and stood up to the test of warmth agianst the wind as well as the repellancy. The drops drained of well and dried off quickly!

I had to go XL to make sure I had room for warm gear under it. Being short (5ft) mid-thigh is now back of knee but that is fine. Still getting used to the rubbery inside vs Gortex more fabricy feel. Not sure about elastic around the wrists but will test that out in Tassie in the next few weeks.
